Sharab-el-ward ~ Home-made Rose Syrup
Usually offered when guests arrive, this is a refreshing cold drink which
should be served in tall glasses with ice cubes and a sprig of mint.
1 cup water Boil sugar and water, then stir in the lemon juice. Continue boiling until sugar is completely dissolved. Drop the red food colouring and rose water in slowly and continue boiling for a further three to five minutes. Store in glass bottles and dilute when necessary.
